Chinoiserie Black Ginger Jar with Hand-Painted Birds & Floral Motif

This is a vintage Japanese lidded ginger jar, featuring a high-gloss black lacquer finish with beautifully detailed hand-painted enamel decoration of peacocks, florals, and branches. The vibrant colors and fine detailing give it a strong decorative presence.

The underside is marked “OMC Japan” along with a traditional-style maker’s mark, dating it to the mid–late 20th century (likely 1960s–1980s). OMC pieces were produced for export and are known for their quality decorative ceramics and lacquerware.
